Transmission Lines Animations |

This application allows you to see an animation of incident and reflected voltages along a 50Ω transmission line, as well the total voltage and standing wave. You can chose among 5 terminations for the line, namely, open, short, match, 25Ω and 100Ω.

For a specific termination, this application firstly shows voltage vs time at various points along the line , then the voltage along the whole line at various instants in time and lastly a full 3D surface, representing power peaks and troths, vs time and vs position along the time.

The applications listed below have been developed in MATLAB 7.10. They are executable files but you will need to download and install the MATLAB Runtime Compiler (MCR) in order to run them. You will only need to perform this installation once. The advantage of it is that you do not need a MATLAB license to run the applications. The 2D animation shows the incident and reflected voltages along a terminated transmission line, as well the total voltage and standing wave. The 3D animation shows the total voltage versus time and versus position along the line. You may find that, the first time you run these application, it takes a little time for them to start going so you will have to be a little patient. |
